Terms

Last updated 13 October 2026

These terms cover the Mosspatch app and this website. By using either, you agree to them.

Who we are

Mosspatch is run by Billy Knowles, a sole trader in the UK trading as Mosspatch ("we"). Contact us atsupport@mosspatch.co.uk.

Who can use it

You need to be 18 or over and have an iPhone.

The beta

The beta is a test version, shared through Apple's TestFlight. Expect changes and the odd broken screen. We may also need to reset parts of the app while we fix things. Please tell us when something breaks. That's what the beta is for.

The free trial and paying

  • Every new account gets 14 days free. You don't need a card to start.
  • After the trial, choose a plan to keep using the app. Your patch stays viewable either way, and nothing is deleted.
  • Plans are bought through Apple, and Apple handles billing. Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically until you cancel.
  • Cancel any time in your iPhone's Settings: tap your name, then Subscriptions.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • Prices are launch pricing and may change before release. If a price changes after you've subscribed, Apple tells you before you're charged the new one.
  • The founding price is for the first year of the yearly plan, and you can only get it during your free trial.
  • Lifetime is one payment for the whole app, for as long as we run Mosspatch. Nothing renews.

What the AI can and can't do

Break it down and Help, I'm stuck suggest small steps. They're suggestions, made by AI, and sometimes they'll be wrong or not right for you. You decide what to do. The AI won't give medical, legal or money advice, and it doesn't plan your day for you.

What Mosspatch is not

Mosspatch is a planner. It isn't medical advice, a diagnosis or a treatment, and it doesn't replace help from a doctor or therapist.

It isn't a crisis service either. If you're in danger or thinking about harming yourself, call 999. You can also call Samaritans free on 116 123, text SHOUT to 85258, or call NHS 111.

Using it fairly

Please don't:

  • try to get around the app's limits on the AI, or use it for anything other than your own tasks
  • try to break, overload or copy the service
  • use Mosspatch to do anything illegal

If someone uses Mosspatch in these ways, we may suspend or close their account.

Your content

What you write in Mosspatch is yours. You give us permission to store and process it only so we can run the app for you. When you delete your account, we delete it.

Our content

The app, its design, the patch art and this website belong to us. You can use them to plan your days. Please don't copy them into something else.

If something goes wrong

We do our best to keep Mosspatch running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. We aren't responsible for losses we couldn't reasonably have foreseen. Nothing here affects your rights under UK consumer law.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If the change is a big one, we'll tell you in the app before it applies.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
